The Significance of the Blessed Birth of Rasulullah ﷺ

The 12th of Rabi Al-Awwal marks the blessed birth of The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ. Hundreds of millions of Muslims commemorate this blessed day each year by remembering His ﷺ’s blessed birth, life, and legacy. In preparation of this beautiful day, SCC invites you to an informational lecture by renowned scholar and professor, Inamul Haq, to understand the significance of the beautiful birth and the purpose of celebrating this remarkable day.

About Professor Inamul Haq

Professor Inamul Haq teaches in the Religious Studies Department at Elmhurst College and at Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. His area of expertise is Islamic Studies. Previously he has been principal of two Islamic day schools in Chicago. Mr. Haq is founding member of the International Strategy and Policy Institute, an Oak Brook-based think tank. He served on the Chicago Committee of Human Rights Watch and on the Board of the Cardinal Bernadine Center of Catholic Theological Union.

Mr. Haq is also a honorary Imam in Chicago. He has been frequently interviewed by local media, including the Chicago Tribune and PBS regarding issues covering Islam and Muslims. Professor Haq studied at International Islamic University in Islamabad, Pakistan, and at Drew University in New Jersey.
