Founder and Director of Madina Institute, Inc. Shaykh Al-Ninowy was born in Aleppo, Syria. He is a Sayyid, a descendant of the Islamic prophet Muhammad ﷺ, through his grandson Husayn ibn ‘Ali by way of Musa al-Kadhim. Besides graduating from the Faculty of Usul-ud-Din at Al- Azhar University, Shaykh Dr. Muhammad delved further into the fields of Hadith and Ihsan under the tutelage of many of the foremost scholars worldwide, who resided in Syria, Hijaz, Morocco, Egypt, and others.In addition to his education in Islamic Studies, Shaykh Muhammad al-Ninowy also holds a bachelor’s degree in Microbiology from the University of Illinois and a Doctor of Medicine degree.
SPEECH CONTEST DETAILS
Answer the following question:
How Did the Beloved Prophet ﷺ Influence the World?
A minimum of THREE (3) Qur’aanic Ayaat Shareef must be included, properly quoted.
A minimum of THREE (3) Ahadeeth Shareef must be included, properly quoted.
A maximum of FOUR (4) pages, double spaced, attached with a separate citation page must be submitted by December 15, 2016.

Candidates must be between the ages of 16 and 25 to participate.
Candidates must register below in order to be considered for the speech contest
Upon registration, candidates will be contacted by SCC Staff within 7 days with instructions on how to submit essays. If candidates have not been received an email with instructions with 7 days, candidates must contact Sufi Community Center to inquire.
All requirements must be met and essays must be submitted by 11:59PM CST on December 15, 2016
THREE (3) male and THREE (3) female contestants will be selected at random from a drawing by one of the SCC Spiritual Advisors
These six candidates will be informed of their selection into the competition by the first week of December.
The essays will constitute for 50% of the score. The remaining 50% will be scored on presentation of the speech.
Candidates will need to appear at the Grand Mawlid on January 7, 2017 and present their essay in speech format before a live audience.
The time limit for each speech is a maximum of seven minutes.
The judges will give the final points based on the delivery of the speech and the winners will be announced that day.
The decision of the judges will be final and honored.
